Tops my “it's in an alley but don't let that stop you” category. Great speakeasy feel and phenomenal 2 story space. We were seated in a corner banquette and had a great view of the place. Our server was just tremendous -- knowledgeable, attentive but respectful given it was a business dinner. This was a weeknight but the place had a great vibe and the live jazz piano was top notch. From the moment I stepped in for the very first time (that was a loooooong time ago!), I could tell that Bix was a special place. From the unusual decor (the ceiling still reminds me of the Poseidon Adventure), to the Mark Stock paintings that befit such a classy environment, to the impressive service from the highly trained and professional, yet friendly staff, every visit here for me is like coming home. They made the beautiful atmosphere, great music, and delightful food come together to create a wonderful dining experience....
1. Atmosphere--Don't let the alley like entrance fool you... the small neon sign marking the entrance to this place is like a beacon to times past.
2. Food--the ingredients and presentation stole the show. This meal was my first time trying caviar or black truffles.
3. Service--impeccable. The wait staff was knowledgeable about the different menu selections, attentive to beverage levels and service needs, and charming as well.

Swanky American Food!
Bix was a superb choice for a dinner date with a fancy best friend. The live piano music provided a pleasant background for the evening. I ended up ordering the Truffle Burger with truffle tries and grilled onions on top. The juicy burger over satisfied my taste buds! Nothing beats a mouth-watering burger with great company!
